Yes, we are new to the Ed Tech scene but not new to education. After years of experience with both K-12 Literacy and Instructional Design, we combined these skills and, in 2024, Read Bytes was born! While we are young, we are mighty, and growth is definitely in our future.

To sign up for a free Read Bytes account, click on the Sign Up button on the top right of your screen, or on any of the grade levels on the home screen, or click here. Then enter your registration details on the registration form. Once you do so, you are ready to access all of our content!

We currently offer a range of free reading comprehension modules for students in grades 4-8. We will always keep a collection of our modules free so teachers, parents, and students can try them out and determine if they are fit for their educational journey. Eventually, as we build out a more comprehensive collection of modules, we hope to offer a Premium plan that encompasses a broader set of skills for each grade level. This Premium version will remain affordable so teachers, schools, and parents can get great value out of them at a reasonable price. We understand the importance of accessible, quality education – we were once teachers ourselves!

You need to provide your first and last name, role (parent, teacher, student), and a valid email address.

Students can access the modules by using the login credentials provided by their teacher or parent. The teacher or parent can log in and share their login and password with the student for access.

Not at this time, although this is a feature we are looking to implement in the future. In the meantime, we recommend using a checklist or an Excel sheet to manually track progress.

Many teachers ask students to submit their assessment results by taking a screenshot and sending it via Google Drive. This method allows you to easily track and review your students’ progress. While we work on integrating with more platforms to streamline this process, this approach ensures you can still monitor their performance effectively.

Yes, our modules are designed to align with most common educational standards to ensure that the skills taught are relevant and beneficial for students’ academic growth.

Yes, the modules are designed to be student-friendly and can be completed independently. While they are designed for independent use, there are many creative uses for Read Bytes, including personalized learning, whole group instruction, small group remediation, and more.

We are in the process of building Read Bytes-one byte at a time! But we don’t want you to miss out on all of the great content we have to offer. Therefore, we add new modules as they become available. Check back daily for new additions!

Not yet! But we can assure you that getting our bite-size modules into the hands of students everywhere is a priority. We are currently looking at how we can safely integrate with common platforms that many schools use so we can provide convenience to you while keeping student data safe.
